Further reading

[edit]

The "Further reading" list has become bloated and is also strongly biased toward US-centric books and articles. In addition many of listed items are not about "core topics" of disability in general. I think many could be moved to other articles where they might fit better, such as Disability in the United States or even articles about more directly relevant topics such as Disability rights, Disability studies, etc. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 16:09, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Good thinking! I moved some of the US based ones over. SomeoneDreaming (talk) 23:22, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add A Fact: "240 million children have disabilities worldwide"

[edit]

I found a fact that might belong in this article. See the quote below

Nearly 240 million children in the world today have some form of disability.

The fact comes from the following source:

https://data.unicef.org/topic/child-disability/overview/

Additional comments from user: It is important to share the number of children born with disabilities.
